Meet Mercy Ndanu

Mercy Ndanu is 15 years old, she lives with her mother Lydia Musyoka in Mathare slums in a one roomed house. Lydia ran to the city to look for a job but without a good education, she was unable to secure one making it hard to support her two children’s education after separating with her husband in 2010.

Mercy has been out of school for more than five months due to lack of school fees and it is for this reason that the area administration officer from the government referred her to Jali Sisters for support.

Jali sisters has supported Mercy to go back to school, she is very happy and looking forward to accomplishing her dream.
