Meet Janeglorious Akinyi

Janeglorious Akinyi is a 16-year-old girl and a last born in a family of three. She lives with her parents in a small grass thatched house in Kakamega County. She had dropped out of primary school many times with no hope of completing her education. Her elderly parents have no source of income and they depend on working on farms for one dollar a day. Janeglorius is a very bright student and she always tops her class. She would like to study engineering at the university level.

She spends most of her free time praying for others, her family and the Nation. She believes in God and she is happy for the support given to her by Jali sisters. She joined Mukhonje Secondary school through the funds donated by Girls Matter.
